CDX Light Vehicle includes a number of different user roles that define what permissions a user has within the learning management system. A user may be assigned any number of roles, but will typically use only one role on a daily basis to perform most functions.
Read the following descriptions of each role to understand how they differ and how they should be used.
Supervisor
The supervisor role is the highest privilege-level in the system. The Supervisor has admin rights to the user roster and other critical functions of the learning management system. In CDX Diesel, the instructor has full control over the parameters of the Final Examination in each module of the course. This means you can change how many attempts are allowed, when the exam becomes available and closes, how much time is allotted for each attempt, and much more!
To update a Final Exam, make sure you log in with your instructor account at www.cdxauto.com. Go to any module and scroll to the bottom of the screen to find the Final Exam. Here's a screenshot of what the Final Exam module looks like at the bottom of the Diesel Hydraulics module.

The upcoming CDX Light Vehicle includes over 80 brand new interactive animations designed to:
- Allow students to observe the inner workings of the components and systems while they are operating helping them quickly understand the related theory.
- In many of the animations, students can disassemble the component assemblies to see how they are constructed, which prepares students for diagnosing faults.
- In many of the animations, students can see how systems react when there are faults in the system. This builds their diagnostic experience.

The process for enrolling your students in new CDX courses, including CDX Diesel, is a bit different than the original CDX Online automotive program - but you still only need to follow a few simple steps.
You need three pieces of information to register as a student in CDX Diesel:
1. A valid email address
2. A 10-digit access code (obtain from your instructor or the bookstore)
3. A Course ID (obtain from your instructor)
To register your account, follow these simple steps:
1. Visit www.cdxauto.com in any web browser
2. Click the "Redeem an Access Code" button under "New Users" on the right-hand side of the screen
